South Africa

Overview

South Africa is one of the greatest wildlife conservation success stories on the continent. Thanks to responsible, ethical hunting, the country boasts abundant game populations across a wide range of terrains — from rugged mountains to open savannas.
At JWK Safaris, we are proud to offer top-tier, fair-chase hunts on large, well-managed concessions. Each hunting area is carefully selected to match our clients’ specific needs and expectations, ensuring a personalised and memorable safari experience.

We specialise in family-friendly hunting safaris, where shared moments at the dinner table and around the campfire create bonds that last a lifetime. Whether you're after a private luxury lodge or a rustic bush camp adventure, we have the ideal venue to suit your family’s preferences. One of our most popular itineraries includes a few days in Cape Town, followed by a 5–10 day hunting safari, and ending with a visit to the Kruger Park — the perfect blend of hunting and holiday.
Our South African concessions offer exceptional game movement and diverse landscapes suited to every type of hunter. From challenging buffalo hunts to plains game pursuits, each experience is unique — and unforgettable. South Africa remains one of our favourite destinations to guide, and hunting buffalo here is always a standout challenge.

We operate across five of the country’s best hunting provinces: Mpumalanga, North West, Free State, Limpopo, and KwaZulu-Natal. Game species include buffalo, kudu, sable, nyala, giraffe, hippo, leopard, lion, zebra, and many more — with over 30 species available. We offer rifle hunting, bow hunting, bird hunting, and Macnab hunts (bird, fish, buck), as well as inshore and offshore fishing for those seeking a broader outdoor experience. Photographic safaris and Kruger Park tours are also available for non-hunters and families. Charter flights, transfers, and security can be arranged upon request.
Every hunt is personally overseen to ensure quality and satisfaction — from gear recommendations to firearm selection and travel logistics. You're welcome to use our professionally maintained rifles for added convenience and peace of mind.
