Mozambique

Overview

JWK Safaris offers exceptional big‑game hunting opportunities in Mozambique’s Niassa Reserve, operating in the renowned Niassa Blocks L2 and R4. This vast and remote wilderness is one of Africa’s last true wild hunting areas, known for its low hunting pressure, expansive landscapes, and naturally sustained wildlife populations.

The Niassa Reserve is characterised by classic East African miombo woodland, river systems, open plains, and rugged terrain, providing ideal habitat for dangerous game and a wide range of plains game. Its remoteness ensures an authentic safari experience, where hunts are conducted in a traditional, fair‑chase manner, often on foot and guided by highly experienced professional hunters and local trackers.

JWK Safaris is committed to ethical, sustainable hunting and responsible concession management. Operations in Blocks L2 and R4 are run with a strong emphasis on conservation, anti‑poaching support, and long‑term game management. By working closely with local communities and authorities, JWK Safaris ensures that hunting contributes positively to wildlife protection and regional development.

These areas are particularly well suited to Cape buffalo hunting, with additional opportunities for plains‑game species typical of the Niassa ecosystem. Hunts are carefully structured to balance quality, value, and conservation, offering clients a genuine African safari rather than a commercialised experience.

Accommodation in camp is comfortable yet traditional, designed to complement the wilderness setting while providing all essential comforts after a long day in the field. Guests can expect personalised service, excellent cuisine, and a relaxed camp atmosphere that reflects the spirit of classic safari hunting.

With its combination of vast concession areas, experienced management, and a strong conservation ethic, JWK Safaris’ Niassa operations in Blocks L2 and R4 represent an outstanding choice for hunters seeking a true, old‑Africa dangerous‑game safari in Mozambique.
