DEAR HUNTING FRIENDS
We hope this newsletter finds you well.
We trust this 24th edition of the JWK Safaris newsletter finds you well and may we take this opportunity to wish you all the best for 2021 and beyond, hopefully we will see you on safari during the year ahead.
Since our last newsletter that was sent out in May 2020 we have conducted quite a few hunts between our South African and Zimbabwean concessions that we can update you on here, we have slowly started to welcome back our international clients as we and our clients adjust to the new normal that has been forced upon us. It is possible to hunt in South Africa and Zimbabwe, you will need to have a Covid test done before you leave home and before you depart from your hunt, the local side of things we will take care off for you.
Here are our recent hunt/2020 hunt updates and photos.
Starting in Matetsi Zimbabwe PH Steve Meyer guided this father and son hunt during August/September:
Also during September, we hosted hunters in South Africa, we hunted some wonderful trophy bulls including this 44 inch buffalo, a further 43 inch buffalo and a 3rd hard boss buffalo bull plus this 48 inch sable and a great old white rhino bull, we do have quite a few rhino bulls on quota and available if there are any hunters reading this that are wanting to chip away at the big 5 please let us know.
We do have quota available on: buffalo, sable, roan, crocodile, hippo, elephant, rhino (white and black) plus general plains game in South Africa.
In October we welcomed a client from Germany into the Matetsi Safari area of Zimbabwe on an elephant hunt, the hunters had a great hunt and managed to hunt this 70 pounder old bull and some plains game:
In November we welcomed more clients from Germany, this time into the Gonarezhou hunting concession areas Sengwe 1 and 2 where the hunt was guided by PH Nixon Dzingai, the clients managed to hunt this 60 pounder elephant plus 3 buffalos and a hippo. These concessions are excellent for trophy elephant and trophy buffalo plus hippo and crocodile are plentiful, we also hunt the odd kudu, nyala and eland in these areas.
During December we welcomed another father and son hunt, this time from Spain, the clients hunted in our central South Africa concession, they managed to hunt these wonderful trophies including this rhino, sable, roan, lechwe, bontebok and the springbuck grand slam:
Thank you for taking the time to read our newsletters and pass them onto your hunting friends, please contact us for more information about booking your hunt in either South Africa or Zimbabwe.
Hunters best wishes.
